Plastering in Invermay

For a registered place, Heritage Tasmania's Works Guidelines (Version 2, October 2025) carry two lines on plaster: replacement plaster or render should match the heritage fabric like-for-like, and select replacement, like-for-like, of lath and plaster walls and ceilings is listed. We have not confirmed which approval route either line sits under, so ask a heritage adviser before the work is priced as a straight replacement.
Permits and City of Launceston rules
Whether a plastering job here needs any heritage approval depends on whether the building is on the Tasmanian Heritage Register, in the City of Launceston's local list, or neither. Heritage Tasmania and the City can say which, and Heritage Tasmania says its advisers' advice is free.
